Thank you for your continued prayer and support as she heals and recovers. Rick and Eleanor are celebrating their 43rd Wedding Anniversary on April, 29th and we ask for continued prayers for healing in the coming days and weeks ahead! My dad loves his beautiful Bride so much and we are so thankful for the amazing Doctors and Nurses who God has used to heal her. The money will also help cover the massive medical bills that will be coming from the ER and extended stay in the hospital as well as all the expenses as she manages her treatment in the coming weeks and months. The Gofund page has been set up to bless them so that Eleanor and Rick don't have to worry about losing her work income while she has been sick and during her recovery. This has added extra stress in a time when her body has been fighting for it's life. She hasn't been able to work for 10 days and depending on her recovery she may not be able to work for 10-14 more days. My Mom started a new job recently and she currently doesn't have any paid sick leave. She will then have follow up treatment to focus on the kidney stones. She will then need to have follow up appointments and have the stints removed in 2 weeks. They will send her home and she will have a pic line in her arm and have to continue to drive to the outpatient facility to have a nurse administer IV Antibiotics for 10 days. Once she is fever free for 24hrs the Infectious disease Doctor said they can release her. Her WBC count and infection are improving drastically. Mom is recovering well from the surgery and her fever finally broke this morning on the 23rd. He said it was a good thing that she came to the ER when she did. Coli and it had come from a severe UTI infection that she didn't know that she had. The Doctor said that she had a very dangerous strain of E. She had infection starting in her kidney and she had a kidney stone in each kidney. coli poisoning and it had spread into her blood and urine. Over the next few days things changed rapidly by the hour and she was suddenly taken into Emergency surgery on Thursday the 22nd at 5:30pm to put a stint in each kidney. They performed a huge amount of tests and after many hours they said they would be treating her aggressively with IV antibiotics and keeping her over night. On Tuesday evening My Dad took her to the ER for tests and they immediately said her White Blood Cell count was extremely high. Suddenly on Tuesday the 20th she spiked a very high fever after being really sick for 7 days and my parents knew that something was really wrong. On Saturday the 17th her covid test came back negative. She spent the next seven days at home very sick but was trying to wait it out and quarantine herself. She barely had enough energy to drive home to work and was shaking. She thought that she was suddenly coming down with the stomach flu or maybe covid. On Tuesday April 13th my Mom, Eleanor Keaton suddenly felt really ill while she was at work.
