![]() ![]() and this is just one, rather pedantic issue. I cannot predict, or plan accordingly in an competitive environment. Suddenly the ease of use is out the window, I no longer know what moves my opponent can do. I have to just react to the dozens of random options you have. The game is in a language I don't speak, suddenly now I have no fucking clue what spells you have on your down B. You're bilingual, or you speak a different language than I do. Let's say I am only an english speaker, or only a japanese speaker, etc. In any one of these situations a Crit is increasingly valuable and unfair because there is no way to respond to it, unlike every other strong move in the game. The reality of the game is this: people use and get hit by Smashes both in neutral and in Punish because optimal play does not exist in real play. At mid percents it can just outright kill randomly, eliminating the need to edge guard at all (which is one of the fundamental skills of platform fighters). So if you hit an opponent in Neutral at low percent then you are bypassing the need to follow up with combos you have not earned that off-stage advantage but gained it anyways simply because the RNG Gods have shown you favor. From low percents, itll often translate into an off-stage edge guard which is inherently more valuable than an on stage continuous punish the disadvantage of being off-stage is objectively worse than that of being on-stage. Hero's Crit is stupid because its RNG and it removes fundamental aspects of the game. Like Ganons Smashes are often only used as Reads because of how slow they are. ![]() Imagine if a missed tech could be punished by a Ganon Neutral B? It doesnt make sense. The problem is that a move this punishing shouldnt be a response to a single mistake. SAY IT LOUDER FOR THE PEOPLE IN THE BACK!įor real though I've seen so many people try to make the argument that its okay because if you play bad and get hit by a Smash attack then its your fault and you deserve to be punished. I'm looking at the positives - this character looks unbelievably fun to play, and Kamikazee looks disrespectful as fuck. In fact, spamming any of the specials is likely to leave him open to being gimpable, if he leaves no MP left to recover with. On top of this, all of these Down B specials are randomly selected, meaning that the Hero can't just sit in a corner and spam heal.Thwack is a very low % play, Snooze is pretty slow-moving and situational, and Bounce can easily be countered by. The Down B moves, while most of them appear OP at a glance, are pretty situational.Seems easily gimpable if he has no MP left to use his Up-B as recovery. The most powerful moves (max power B, side-B, up-B) seem to sap your MP something fierce.Provided that he doesn't have any true combos into smash attacks, this isn't necessarily OP in competitive because you shouldn't really be getting hit by smash attacks in neutral anyway. Random crits can only occur on smash attacks.Galint Gaming - Organizers of Battle of BC 5Ĭody - Top modern Brawl player, champion of Apex 2022Īaron - Top Ultimate Diddy Kong for Moist EsportsĪpolloKage - Current best Snake main in UltimateĬosmos - Top Aegis main, champion of Shine 2022įor a full list, click here!
